Acne, normal part of puberty, affects millions of people including the adults.

It erupts when pores become clogged with a mixture of oil and dead skin cells. In general, this problem is not so essential. But, for the most teenagers, a pimple on a face is very annoying. It should be known that there are big misconceptions  about ‘annoying’ or ‘upsetting’ acne:
  • Despite the wide spread notion, junk food and greasy foods such as pizza and chocolate don’t cause acne.
  • There is no evidence that oily skin or hair causes acne. On the other hand, if you have more pimples under the hair, it might be good to change your hair style.
  • It’s not proven that stress causes acne. But many teens face with pimples before important or exciting events in their lives.
  • In order to clean away the oil, teens wash their faces too much when they see pimples but it doesn’t work in fact. Since, vigorous washing may make the inflammation around pimples worse and cleaning will not reduce the amount of sebum in the glands.
  • The problem is common not only among teens but also among people over twenty five.
  • Squeezing your pimples or picking at your skin might seem to be a solution in short term. In contrary, it brings on negative effects like spreading of acne and scarring.
  • Like other ones in health, acne treatments are not miraculous immmediate effects. The medication process can take months.
Knowing those myths will help you to fight acne. But, if you have constant and uncontrollable pimples with pain, it’s necessary to visit a doctor.
